Cyanine3.5 Maleimide is a thiol-reactive near-infrared dye designed for covalent conjugation to cysteine residues and other sulfhydryl-containing biomolecules. This non-sulfonated derivative features excitation/emission at 581/596 nm, offering enhanced tissue penetration and reduced autofluorescence compared to visible-range dyes while maintaining the photostability characteristic of Cyanine fluorophores.
Key Features:
• Specific Conjugation: Forms stable thioether bonds at pH 6.5-7.5 (2-4 hr, 25°C)
• Optical Properties: ε = 150,000 M⁻¹cm⁻¹ at 581 nm (PBS)
• Solubility: ≥10 mM in anhydrous DMSO (with 1% TCEP for thiol protection)
