Cyanine3.5 Carboxylic Acid is a non-activated, carboxyl-functionalized near-infrared fluorophore with emission at ~590 nm, offering enhanced tissue penetration and reduced autofluorescence compared to standard Cy3 dyes. This non-sulfonated analog provides a versatile platform for custom conjugation via carbodiimide (EDC/NHS) activation to amine-containing molecules, while maintaining excellent photostability and quantum yield (Φ~0.3).
Key Features:
• Optimal Spectral Properties: Excitation/emission at 581/596 nm (PBS)
• Organic Solubility: >10 mg/mL in DMF/DMSO (limited aqueous solubility)
• Applications: Protein labeling, polymer modification, and control experiments
