Cyanine5 Biotin is a dual-functional near-infrared conjugate (ex/em 649/670 nm) combining Cy5 fluorescence with biotin’s high-affinity streptavidin binding (Kd~10-15 M). This non-sulfonated reagent exhibits excellent solubility in organic solvents (e.g., DMSO) and limited aqueous compatibility, enabling applications in pull-down assays, fluorescence detection, and diagnostic imaging.
For enhanced water solubility, use sulfo-Cyanine5 Biotin. Store desiccated at -20°C protected from light.
