DESCRIPTION
Cyanine5.5 SH is a sulfhydryl-functionalized near-infrared fluorophore (ex/em 675/694 nm). This non-sulfonated reagent exhibits excellent solubility in organic solvents (e.g., DMF, DMSO) with limited aqueous compatibility, designed for site-specific conjugation to maleimide or iodoacetyl-activated targets while maintaining optimal fluorescence performance.
For aqueous applications, consider sulfo-Cyanine5.5 Maleimide. Store under argon at -80°C to prevent oxidation.
